We want your child to repeat a grade (mention grade). He is underage for the above-mentioned class. He has to be at least 9 years, and right now, he is only 8 years old. Had it been a few months’ difference, we would have accommodated. It is advisable not for his mental health nor his learning. His brain has not developed to the extent that he can absorb whatever is told to him. A gap year is not advised because it breaks the child’s momentum, and he can not learn or come back into the flow.
Therefore, it is our sincerest advice that he repeats his class instead of a gap year. This will hinder his flow and strengthen his concepts, and he will be able to do more brilliantly in upcoming classes and stages of his life. The upcoming classes will be a piece of cake for him.
