Apology Letter For Sleeping On Duty

Dear manager,

I am writing to you because I would like to formally apologize for sleeping on duty. I would like to say that it was down to me not getting any sleep and that I will go to bed early to make sure that I get enough sleep for work but that is not the truth. The truth is I have been sleeping but I haven’t been sleeping well.

I sleep walk and recently it has got worse like I wake up in the middle of the night miles away from my home. I get night terrors and wake up suddenly.  I can say that the doctors have given me an option and I’m going to take it. It is some surgery on the sleeping part of the brain.

After a few months of recovering I will be better. So again I am very sorry and I can tell you that it won’t happen again. Please forgive me.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. Noel Manchester

Request Letter For Reduce Of Duty Hours

To,
The Branch Head,
Glasgow Security Services, Toronto.
Respected Sir,
I beg to say that I am an appointed security guard at your firm and my area is the Mall side Avenue. Sir, I work two jobs since I am a poor man. My appointed duty right now is ten hours a day however, it is almost impossible for me to sleep or take any rest during normal day. I am rapidly losing health and I fear that soon I might have to quit my jobs due to my stressed routine. I can’t afford that.

That is why I am writing this application requesting you to kindly reduce my working hours and make them eight instead of ten. This will be quite feasible for me. Furthermore kindly notify the contractor of my new hours as well.

I hope you will understand my situation and approve my request.

Thanking you,
XYZ.
