Respected Madam,

With all my due respect, it is to inform you that I have lost my bag along with my valuables. I have lost all my notes and also the book that I had issued last week. I tried my best to get my bag but it was stolen from the college. Please accept my apology as it was not my mistake. As per the policy of the library I will provide the new book within this week.  I shall be really thankful to you for this act of kindness. Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Tania Martin

Application for Lost Library Book

 Respected Librarian,

With due respect, I issued an SAT book last week for my test preparation. Yesterday, I brought the book with me to the school for returning it. However, during my free class when I was in the ground, I forgot the book over there. When it came to my mind that I have left the book in the ground, I immediately went back but it was nowhere to be found.

I went to the lost and found office, but the in charge didn’t receive any book on that day. Also, I asked other people who were there in the ground at that time but nobody saw it. I am sincerely sorry for disappointing you. You can look into my previous issuing history and such thing has not happened even once and I always used to return the books in time.

I am aware that you are disappointed with me for being this irresponsible. I am ready to pay the fine and I request you to kindly let me borrow books from the library in the future. I assure you that such thing will not happen again. I hope you accept my apology.

Best Regards,

Application for Lost Library Book

Respected Sir,

With all due respect, I am writing this application to inform you that I have lost one of the library books that I issued last week. I issued three books out of which one of them is lost. I have searched in all places but I cannot seem to find it anywhere. The book’s name was ‘The fault in our stars’. I am well aware with the library’s policy that if a book is lost then the borrower can either pay the amount for the book or replace the book with one of their own copy. I will drop by the library tomorrow and pay the amount for the book. I am very sorry that such an incident has taken place. I promise you that it will not happen again.

Please do excuse me.

Best Regards,

Bilal Ali
