SemiOffice Tasks Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 3, 2026
Information stored locally
SemiOffice Tasks stores task records, Quick Note text, reminder times, completion and pin status, report preferences, theme settings, favorite tools and recent tool links using Chrome's local extension storage.
Information sent to SemiOffice
The extension does not send task titles, notes, dates, reminders, priorities, completion history, or browsing history to SemiOffice. Related SemiOffice tool links are packaged with the extension and open only when the user chooses them.
Selected webpage text
Right-click features work only when the user deliberately selects text and chooses a SemiOffice command. Selected text can be saved locally as a note or task, or used as a search term. The extension does not automatically read webpage contents.
Notifications and reminders
Chrome alarms and notifications are used to deliver reminders created by the user. Reminder contents are processed locally by the extension.
Analytics, advertising and sale of data
The extension does not contain analytics trackers or advertising. SemiOffice does not sell extension task data or share it with third parties.
Data control and deletion
Users can delete tasks individually with the red trash icon, clear Quick Note, clear recent links, or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling removes extension-local data according to Chrome's behavior.
Security and limitations
Local browser storage is designed for convenience, not as an encrypted records vault. Do not store passwords, banking information, medical records, identity documents or highly confidential organizational information in tasks or notes.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
SemiOffice Tasks' use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes to this policy
Material privacy changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
