Missed exam due to illness

Dear Sir/Madam,

With due respect, I would like to inform you that I can’t take my Chemistry Exam on Monday, 3rd September  (Date) as I am not feeling well. I was completely prepared for the paper, but my health started to worsen at the last moment. First, I thought it was due to nervousness and exam pressure, so I didn’t take it seriously.  But, on the day of the exam, I had spots all over my face and found out that I had measles. It all happened so suddenly that I had no time to inform the administration of the school. Even after this, I was persistent in taking the exam, but as you know that this virus spreads, so I didn’t want my class fellows to get sick because of me, so I thought that staying at home was for the best.

Furthermore, I am in the top 5% of my class students, and I don’t was this situation to affect my academic record. I request you to reschedule my chemistry exam for another day as mocks examinations are essential for my university applications. As proof, I will attach the medical certificate, which can be forwarded to the head office.

I am looking forward to your response. If you help me through this problem, I would be very thankful to you.

Yours Sincerely,

Fatima Amir

Missed Exam Due to Illness

Subject: Missed Exam due to illness.

I hope you are doing well. I have been trying to write to you and inform you about my absence in detail, but I regret that fate did not favor me for quite some time. I was well prepared for the final exams, but as it is said, ‘the troubles come in threes,’ I caught a severe fever and cough the night before the geography examination, which made me unable to gain consciousness for the next seven hours. I could not take the final exam, which is already a depressing thing for me to realize. But now, as I feel better, I felt a dire need to inform you through email about the illness I have faced lately. I would request you to please have a look at the medical certificates attached with the email and consider my request to reappear in the exam in the upcoming session. My previous academic scripts prove my intelligence, and I would be encouraged to grant me permission regarding the aforementioned request through your act of kindness.
